WHY THIS BLOG?

DEAR FRIENDS,

WELCOME TO LOOK'RAINIAN!

On this blog, you can find a few pictures about Ukraine. It is a "look", actually "my look" about this amazing country. It is not necessary pictures from the most beautiful things that you can find here. But things like that do exist here.

The idea of creating this blog came up after that a lot of people asked me to send them pictures about Ukraine so that they can see what the country looks like. As I am lazy to send a selection of pictures to each of them (you, actually), I decided to join the bloggers' network.

Of course, it is not at all a complete overview about Ukraine. Some feelings, experiences cannot be expressed with a simple camera. Simply because you don't have your camera with you to take a picture of a scene, sometimes because you don't dare to disturb the scene by being this 'stupid' foreign tourist with his camera, sometimes because you just want to enjoy what is going on, forgetting about the camera.

And even if the pictures are a good and easy way to introduce a country, it remains difficult to sump up it only using this way - even more difficult for a non professionnal photographer as I am. So that's why 'a lot of Ukraine' is missing on those photos. That's why it is just a look, and not at all a global overview about Ukraine.
